Welcome to Curate of Curiosities!

This is where I write about the strange, the obscure, or just whatever interests me.

So, looks like the write up on New York Times Simulator only took a few hours to get up and running. Here it is.

April 14, 2024

Well, whoop-de-doo, the staunchly leftist game dev Molleindustria has come up with a new game while I wasn't looking! Expect a writeup very soon.

April 9, 2024

Not only have I given some old pages a tweak, but the menu's been given a bit of a facelift, too.

April 2, 2024

Just gave the front page a bit of an overhaul. From now on, the main page will only have news that's less than six months old.

Thanks to Google's shenanigans, we have run into a brick wall regarding a certain Belgian comic. Fortunately, there is, in fact, something that we can discuss without sacrificing continuity. The comic had a live-action film released in 2016, and it seems to have made some unfortunate casting choices that landed it in some hot water...

At long last, the writeup on Weird and Unfortunate Things Are Happening is complete! Here's the final battle, and here are my final words on this game. This is probably the longest thing I've covered on this site so far.

March 10, 2024

Alright, I've finished chapter two of Mardek. And here's the page.

On top of that, I've finally finished Weird and Unfortunate Things Are Happening! Expect its page within the next week.

March 6, 2024

Currently working on the page for chapter 2 of Mardek. It's lot as long as Deliverance, but there's much more going on with this game.

In the meantime, there's a new page up for a certain Quirky Earthbound-inspired RPG. Alicia and her friends have reached the eldritch gods' home turf. Will they be able to stop them?

February 2, 2024

Over the past month, we've seen quite a bit of progress when it comes to the eldritch horror RPG:

January 2, 2024

First page of the new year: a new page on the eldritch horror RPG. Our rescue mission is getting closer and closer to succeeding, so why not have a brief interlude about our target trying to escape captivity?

December 27, 2023

Happy holidays! Here's two new pages:

First, we have a new page on that one RPG. Sure, our party still hasn't completed their rescue mission, but not only do they have a new member, but they have a decent lead!

And then, we have a page on the first chapter of one of the most famous Flash RPGs ever made, that, despite being made in the 2000s, might still hold up today. Might.

December 6, 2023

Another page for a certain Belgian comic for tweens is up!

Featuring: a quest for sex! Pixar mom figures! Christmas stories! Horrible dating advice! Freudian psychology! Catfishing!

December 3, 2023

So, the page for volumes 2-3 of Tamara is almost ready, but there's still a problem. Content-wise, these volumes are a bit spicier than volume 1 was, and tackles subject matter that has yet to be seen on this site so far (at least, in relation to something aimed at children), so I might have trouble effectively discussing it. How do you feel about a panel with what looks like two dogs having sex in a comic for tweens?

November 14, 2023

Another page for a certain indie RPG is up. While not much progress is made on the main character's rescue mission, we do meet someone who can be called a villain, as well as a boss fight that sort of poses an actual challenge.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but rest assured, I'm still hard at work on future pages.

Regarding that one Earthbound-like RPG with the long title, I've gotten pretty far. I think I'm about halfway through the game. While the writeup isn't quite ready yet, I do have a few boss videos uploaded over the past few days:
